Details Emerge Of Wedding Ceremony In Belmarsh Prison

Couple's Lawyer Says She Fears For Assange's Health

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has married his long-term partner Stella Moris in a ceremony at Belmarsh high-security prison in London.

The couple, who have two children together, were married in a small ceremony attended by a handful of guests, including their two sons.

Moris, a lawyer, said she was "so proud" to marry Assange, who is fighting extradition to the United States on espionage charges.

"Today is a day of joy, but also a day of sadness," Moris said.

"Julian was supposed to be out of prison by now. He should be at home with his family.

"I am so proud of Julian for his courage and resilience," Moris said.

"He is a political prisoner who has been held in arbitrary detention for four years.

"I will not rest until he is free."
