**SHFE and LME Aluminum Prices Fluctuate**

**SHFE Aluminum Benchmark Down**

On Tuesday, August 13, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminum benchmark price dropped by US$13 per tonne or 0.48%.

**LME Aluminum Mixed**

In contrast, the London Metal Exchange (LME) aluminum prices showed mixed trends. LME aluminum opened at US$2547 per tonne in the previous trading day, reaching a high of US$2552. However, the contract later opened at US$2586 per tonne, with lows and highs varying.

**Yearly Decline**

Since the beginning of 2024, aluminum prices on the LME have decreased by US$75 per tonne, or 3.15%, based on trading on a contract for difference.
